Gigi Dolin Says Her Original WWE NXT Name Was Rejected Due To Serial Killer Link

Gigi Dolin reveals what she wanted her original WWE NXT name to be.

During a recent interview with Drinks With Johnny, former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Gigi Dolin noted that she originally wanted to go by Gigi Aileen. However, the name was seemingly rejected because of its link to known serial killer Aileen Wuornos.

“I’m trying to remember what other first names did I come up with,” Dolin said. “I know that I wanted the name Gigi Aileen was one that I liked, but that one didn’t pass because of Aileen Wuornos. They were like, ‘No, we’re not doing that. That’s a serial killer. You can’t do that.’

“We have Joe Gacy which is in the same ballpark but, I don’t know, I get it. They’re probably like, ‘We already have Joe Gacy coming in around the same time as me,’ and it was like, if I came in with another serial killer name, it was probably just gonna be a little overkill, maybe.”

Joe Gacy also made his televised NXT debut in 2021 and his last name draws a connection to that of serial killer John Wayne Gacy.
