Just days after introducing Jaden Smith as the star of its spring/summer 2016 campaign, Louis Vuitton is welcoming another convention-breaking actress into its cool kids inner circle: Léa Seydoux. The freshly minted Bond girl and Blue Is the Warmest Color star will join the likes of fellow LV beauties Michelle Williams and Alicia Vikander for a future series of campaign shots and, of course, stunning red carpet appearances.
“I feel extremely proud at the thought of representing such a strong symbol of French elegance, an iconic brand whose initials are known the world over. I deeply admire Nicolas Ghesquière's work, especially his newness. His incessant search for novelty is also highly impressive,” Seydoux said in a statement, which also includes the moody yet stunning Alasdair McLellan-photographed shot above.
The French actress, who “perfectly incarnates the Louis Vuitton woman—a multi-faceted woman, independent and modern,” according to the brand, is no stranger to the world of fashion, previously starring in Miu Miu campaigns and rocking Prada designs in front of the cameras with panache. So when can we expect Seydoux to make her official Vuitton-clad debut? The actress is set to appear alongside LV's creative director Ghesquière at the UNICEF Ball in Beverly Hills on Jan. 12.
Our calendars are marked.
