On Wednesday, prosecutors urged a federal judge to treat Tekashi 6ix9ine lightly after he was an “extraordinary” witness in his trial involving the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. The trial saw the convictions of several of the rapper’s former associates, including Anthony “Harv” Ellison.
In a statement written to the judge, Paul Engelmayer, the prosecutors asked for him to go easy on Daniel Hernandez, also known as Tekashi 6ix9ine. Earlier in 2019, it was reported by multiple outlets that Hernandez was facing off against a series of very serious charges which saw a minimum sentence of 47 years in prison.
Daniel was involved in the shooting incidents carried out by other members of the group in 2018 as well as in 2017. The prosecutors wrote in their statement that Hernandez’s “cooperation was extraordinary.” Additionally, the letter praised Daniel’s description of the hierarchy of Nine Trey as well as the behavior and activities they engaged in.
Reportedly, Tekashi’s involvement and participation in the trial led to the arrest and conviction of several members of the group, including Aljermiah Mack, Kintea McKenzie, and Denard Butler. Additionally, Tekashi gave up more information related to other cases, which led to the charges of other individuals.

Mr. Daniel Hernandez is slated to hear the verdict on the 18th of December. As followers of the case know, Tekashi 6ix9ine, for several months, was arguably the most talked-about figure in the hip-hop community.
On account of his bizarre antics and appearence, including rainbow-colored hair and teeth, Tekashi 6ix9ine grew a large following of people, who, while they weren’t necessarily fans of his, were at least interested in him as a public figure.
However, after he was involved in a number of crimes, including a shooting in New York City, as well as child molestation charges, Tekashi found himself in trouble with the federal government on racketeering charges.

He was slapped with racketeering charges immediately and multiple reports indicated he would get nearly 70 years in prison if he refused to cooperate. It was later revealed by the rapper’s testimony that he paid for protection as well as “street credibility” from the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.
