RHOC The Tres Amigas Had To Google Ernest Hemingway And Fans Are Losing Their Minds

During the most recent episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, the ladies were in Key West, Florida for an all-girls getaway. And, when trip organizer Braunwyn Windham-Burke scheduled a field trip to the home of Ernest Hemingway, Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, and Shannon Beador – AKA the “tres amigas” – had no idea who Hemingway was. And, they went straight to Google to figure it out.

Windham-Burke, Kelly Dodd, and Emily Simpson were excited to visit Hemingway’s home, but the Tres Amigas immediately started complaining. Judge asked if Hemingway was hosting a dinner party for them, and Gunvalson hoped there would be “good coffee” ready when they arrived.

Eventually, Gunvalson Googled Hemingway, only to discover that the For Whom The Bell Tolls author wasn’t waiting for her with good coffee because he had been dead since 1961. Gunvalson explained that she had no idea who Hemingway was because he died before she was born, and she also wondered why he still had a house. Fans immediately lost their minds, and took to social media to let the Tres Amigas know they had zero tolerance for their literary ignorance.

“How can these women not know who Earnest Hemmingway is? Their ignorance is showing. Ugh. #RHOC,” wrote a disgusted fan, while another added, “I can’t believe only 1 out of 7 women knew who Earnest Hemmingway was ? Vicky wondered why he still owned a house. Dumba** people …yes.”

Another fan wrote that watching the ladies try to figure out who Ernest Hemingway was via Google was actually making her dumber, and another asked if the ladies went to high school.

“So you’re going to tell me that these three morons never heard of Ernest Hemingway? Did you attend High School English class ever?? Watching this show has us surrounded by three imbeciles! Tres Dumba**es #RHOC,” wrote an angry fan.

Also in the episode, Gunvalson kicked her feud with Kelly Dodd up a notch when she handed out personalized rhinestone hats for the trip. Gunvalson’s said “Engaged AF” to celebrate Steve Lodge’s proposal, while the newly-divorced Beador had one that read “Divorced AF.”

Gina Kirschenheiter’s hat said “Single AF” after her split from husband Matt, Judge’s read “Married AF,” Emily Simpson’s was “Fun AF,” while Windham-Burke’s read “Wild AF.” When Gunvalson got to Dodd, she gave her a hat that said, “Krazy AF,” but Gunvalson justified it by saying she used a K, “so it’s not offensive.”

In her confessional, Dodd said that the Tres Amigas “want to poke the bear” and get a reaction out of her. She added that they thrive on making her angry. When they cut back to the hat giveaway, Dodd declined.

“I’m not wearing this f—— hat by the way. I’m not a group person,” says Dodd. “I’m tired of it!”
