Round 4; 1 Ocarina of Time v 17 Resident Evil 4

I've never played Resident Evil 4, but to be honest I can't see any game beating Ocarina of Time. Take this as you want, since I can't argue against Resident Evil, but I can promote OoT. And no matter what Zelda takes this one.

Mario 64 might have been the first 3D game, but OoT was the first one to take it to the next level and create a game where you can do almost anything. The huge variety of scenery and surroundings is amazing. The desert of the Gerudos, the waters of Lake Hylia, the Lost Woods, the volcano that's home to the Gorons and the many areas to explore filled with people like the Kakariko Village, Marketplace, Gerudo Sanctuary and Long Long Ranch. You can ride through the Hyrule Field searching for Poes or go exploring the Graveyard. When you start off the game you instantly feel in control and whether you take time looking at every inch of Kokiri Forest or head straight to the Deku Tree for your first mission you're gonna enjoy yourself. Every moment from then on is an adventure as you're thrust through temples, dungeons, graves, races and puzzles. After the first three missions, including the amazing Jabu-Jabu's stomach dungeon, you get to head to the Temple of Time where the game really picks up. When you become an adult you get to see the world around you changed from the dark practices of Ganondorf over 10 years, and it makes you sad to enter the Marketplace which was once a happy and thriving place to find it infested with zombies and destroyed. The world is a completely different place, and it's up to you to stop it from being finished. As you move from temple to temple, the Forest, Fire, Water, Shadow and Spirit, in order, you just get amazed by the creativity and uniqueness of each world. The Forest has a false sense of calm whereas really it's haunted by the, in my opinion, terrifying dead hands. The Fire Temple gives a sense of desperation as you avoid being burnt to pieces and race to find the Gorons. The Water is puzzling and frustrating as you try to figure out when you should raise and lower the water level to make it to the end. The Shadow is just creepy, zombies creeping around everywhere and invisible enemies making life miserable. The Spirit Temple, my personal favourite, has a huge sense of options and choices as you try and find your destination. Finally, when you reach Ganondorf's castle, you must overcome the most powerful enemy in the game before reaching the final boss, but before you finish the game you embark on an extremely fun race down the ruins of Hyrule Castle. There's also the many side quests you can try, like getting Epona or the Biggorons Sword. All in all, this was the first game that gave real freedom, and is just bursting with creativity and exploration. I know I've never played Resident Evil 4, but I'm certain it has nothing on what I think is the greatest game ever made. Vote Ocarina of Time.
