Zayn is set to release his tell-all autobiography on November 1st but snippets have already been slowly released. Today, a piece about Malik’s inspiration for his song “Flower” came out. The song, which is softer then most of his Mind of Mine album, is an homage to the singer’s father.

Zayn has opened up about his writing process with each song in his new novel and this specific song seems to be a very personal song for him. He goes on to explain how a mini guitar and Pakistani musician Nusrat Fateh Ali Kahn helped shape his idea into a reality. He details everything, including the recording process, to show how deeply he cares about his passion and how much control he wants over his music. Not surprising to many of his loyal fans.
